From ad2f2439d9e473e82f802778e9fa5efbea3c4ae9 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Claude Date: Thu, 22 Oct 2026 08:44:14 +0000 Subject: [PATCH 1/2] perf: compress brotli request bodies at quality 4 On dataset items (70 KB on average, from an Instagram scraper), quality 4 takes about half the CPU time of quality 6 (0.72 ms vs 1.3 ms per item) for bodies about 5% larger (6.94x vs 7.29x). That is as fast as gzip at level 6, and still compresses better. For scrapers that push many items, compression was about 9% of all CPU time.
