Summary

Configured the cron schedule to use Asia/Kolkata (IST) timezone.

This makes the job timing consistent across environments. Even if the same code runs on different servers with different system timezones, such as UTC in staging and IST in production, the cron job will still be evaluated using the configured timezone and run according to IST.

Changes

  • added a cronOptions object in helper/cron.js

Walkthrough

A timezone configuration option was added to the cron job scheduling mechanism. A cronOptions constant specifying "Asia/Kolkata" timezone is now passed to the cron.schedule function call, altering how the existing scheduled task interprets its cron expression timing.
