fix(web): hide empty spec rows and groups on the product page - #1192
Product page spec section: rows now come from buildProductSpecGroups (apps/web/src/lib/product-spec-rows.ts). It applies the same field rules as before but leaves out rows with no value (empty or "-") and groups with no row left.
Examples: a GPS watch loses empty data speed, 4G band and VoLTE rows, or the whole cellular group; earbuds lose an empty FCC row.
Group numbers and the "N groups" badge follow the groups that are shown.
Rows that were always shown with a default (5G yes/no, commercial status) are unchanged.
Compare (CompareWorkspace): a row that every compared product leaves empty is hidden (compareRowIsShown), so "-" stays only where another column has a value. The "differences only" toggle keeps its rule. Group numbering follows the visible groups.
Phone collapse: PhoneCollapsible gets collapsible. The spec section passes it only when more than three groups remain, so a product with three groups or fewer shows them whole, with no toggle that opens nothing. Real products have 8 to 10 groups, so the collapse still keeps price history and sellers from being buried.
E2E updates (why)
category-spec-template.spec.ts: the seeded earbud really has values for only 4 groups, and the seeded phone read as a watch has no cellular value. The hidden groups are truly empty, so the test now expects them gone. The 4G-only bands label moved to the unit test.
product-specs-collapse.spec.ts: "collapsed < 60% of expanded" held for ten full groups. The seeded phone now has five short groups, so the ratio says nothing. The test now checks that collapsing removes the height of the groups it hides.
Tests
New apps/web/src/lib/__tests__/product-spec-rows.test.ts. It covers:
a GPS watch whose cellular values are all empty (group gone)
empty rows next to filled ones
an earbud with an empty FCC row and a hardware card with only the chip
an all-empty design group
phones keeping flat-column fallbacks
the compare row rule
spec-template.test.ts: source checks updated for the new builder and the compare numbering.
Local: pnpm --filter @repo/web test, tsc --noEmit, eslint and prettier all green.
Refactors product specification rendering into a centralized product-spec-rows module to eliminate empty rows and groups (#1186), significantly reducing code duplication in the product detail page and improving the "show differences only" logic in the comparison workspace.

Bug Fixes
Smartphone specification sections now omit empty rows and groups, making the displayed content more relevant. Group counts reflect only sections that are shown.
In product comparisons, rows with no values are hidden, and the diff-only setting filters rows based on localized values.
JSON comparison exports no longer include specification rows that are empty for every product.
The product page printed spec rows with no value as "-": a GPS watch's
data speed, 4G bands and VoLTE, an earbud's FCC approval, and an earbud
hardware card with a single row. The rows now come from
buildProductSpecGroups, which leaves out rows with no value and groups with
no row; group numbers and the badge count follow the shown groups.
Compare leaves out a row that every column has empty, so "-" stays only
beside a value.

The pull request adds shared helpers to build localized product specification groups and determine comparison-row visibility. The smartphone detail page and comparison workspace use these helpers to omit empty rows and groups. JSON exports also omit rows that are empty for every product.

Summary
Build and test specification rows apps/web/src/lib/product-spec-rows.ts, apps/web/src/lib/__tests__/product-spec-rows.test.ts, apps/web/package.json
New helpers build localized, template-ordered specification groups from specification data and product fallbacks. They omit empty rows and groups, and determine whether comparison rows are shown. Tests cover group construction, fallbacks, ordering, and row visibility. The test script runs the new test suite.
The smartphone detail page uses the shared builder and renders its groups and rows. The section badge counts generated groups. The test assertion checks that the page passes the specification template to the builder.
Filter and number comparison rows apps/web/src/components/compare/CompareWorkspace.tsx, apps/web/src/lib/__tests__/spec-template.test.ts
The comparison matrix filters empty rows and groups, then numbers visible non-market groups. JSON exports omit rows that are empty across all products. The test assertion checks the visible-group numbering source.
DOS/Rate#1182: It applies category specification templates to comparison, exports, and API responses; this pull request adds visibility filtering to the comparison and export paths.
DOS/Rate#1163: It introduces category specification templates for the product detail page; this pull request uses those templates to build visible specification rows.

Explanation
Issue [#1186] requires empty product-page rows and all-empty groups to be hidden, compare rows to retain - only when another product has a value, and tests for an empty row and an all-empty group. buildProductSpecGroups filters empty rows and groups, while preserving default commercial-status and 5G values and flat-field fallbacks. compareRowIsShown implements the compare rule and the differences-only rule. product-spec-rows.test.ts covers the watch, earbud, empty-group, fallback, and compare cases.

Review of the previous commit: compare checked the raw value, so a row
whose every cell localizes "N/A" to "-" stayed. The JSON export now skips
all-empty rows like the CSV export.

The seeded earbud has values only for audio, battery, Bluetooth and the
sale status, and the seeded phone read as a watch has no network value
once 5G is dropped, so #1186 now hides their empty groups. The 4G-only
bands label moves to product-spec-rows.test.ts.

…en part
Hiding empty groups (#1186) left the phone toggle on products with three
groups or fewer, where it opens nothing; PhoneCollapsible now takes
`collapsible` and the spec section passes it only past three groups.
The collapse e2e asserted collapsed < 60% of expanded, which held for ten
full groups but not for the sparse seeded phone, now five short groups.
It now checks that collapsing removes the height of the groups it hides.

Drop dash-only parts before joining camera values.
joined in apps/web/src/lib/product-spec-rows.ts removes only falsy parts. A stored - is truthy, so it passes through. When video_recording and flash are both -, the joined value is - | -. localizeSpecValue returns that string unchanged, and the row filter keeps it because isEmptySpecValue matches only '' and -. The page can then render a Video recording & flash row whose value is - | -.
The same change also removes a lone - part when the other part has a value, so 4K | - becomes 4K.
Note: this behaviour predates this PR (already present at merge base ec2bce5ccf66); the change keeps it reachable.

Update the joined helper to exclude parts that are falsy or considered empty by
isEmptySpecValue before joining. This should remove dash-only values from camera

dash retains only the valid value.
Minor · Map unknown 5G support to an empty value instead of "No". · product-spec-rows.ts:188-198
Map unknown 5G support to an empty value instead of "No".
When both cellular.has_5g and product.has_5g are null or undefined, the 5G row's value is ui.no. That is a non-empty string, so the empty-value filter keeps the row. The cellular group also survives because it has at least one row. A product with no other cellular data can therefore show a cellular group that says it lacks 5G. Both fields are typed as nullable, so this input is possible.
yesNo maps true to the yes label, false to ui.no, and any other value to an empty string. The existing filter then removes the row when the value is unknown. Known true and false values render as before.
Note: this behaviour predates this PR (already present at merge base ec2bce5ccf66); the change keeps it reachable.

Update the 5G support row to pass the resolved nullable `has_5g` value through
`yesNo` instead of defaulting every non-true value to `ui.no`. Preserve the
existing yes/no labels for known values and let unknown values produce an empty
string so the existing filter removes the row.
Pin the numbering list in the compare heading test.
The assertion at spec-template.test.ts:218-220 checks only the heading call. It does not check how numberedSpecGroups is built. The current list excludes market_trust, so the numbering is correct today. If a later change added market_trust back, the heading assertion would still pass and the first spec heading would render as 2. The test has no other check for this. Add an assertion that pins the filter.
This is additional coverage for working behavior, not a production defect.

Add an assertion in the compare heading test that pins how numberedSpecGroups is
built: verify visibleSpecGroups excludes the market_trust group before
numbering. Keep the existing heading-call assertion unchanged.
The current page renders specGroups, so this is a coverage gap for the empty-row behavior, not a current defect. The changed assertion at apps/web/src/lib/__tests__/spec-template.test.ts:307-310 checks only that a buildProductSpecGroups({ ... template: specTemplate, call appears in the page source. A change that keeps this call but does not render its result still passes. A change that renders unfiltered specifications also still passes. No e2e test asserts that empty spec rows are absent from the product page. The row test in product-spec-rows.test.ts covers only builder output.
Replace the presence check with an assertion that the render uses specGroups. Alternatively, add a render test that seeds an empty row and asserts that it is absent from the #specs-section output.

Test the localized compare path through the caller's logic.
testCompare passes only literal cell values to compareRowIsShown. The matrix in CompareWorkspace.tsx passes values after localizeSpecValue runs. Removing that localization step would not fail this suite. Raw 'N/A' cells count as values, so an all-'N/A' row would be shown.
A test that localizes values inside the test file does not protect the caller. It repeats the caller's steps without running CompareWorkspace.tsx. Move the localize-then-filter step into a helper in product-spec-rows.ts, and have CompareWorkspace.tsx call that helper. Then test the helper with raw 'N/A' cells. The existing literal cases can stay.
