Thank you very much for visiting my portfolio. I've been working professionally as an intermediate software developer and have been happily employed since 2020. I first started as a QA and moved into System Admininistration, DevOps, and Development a couple years later. Over the past couple years I assisted with my company's move from SVN to Git for a large catalogue of projects by driving the initial proof-of-concept, documentation, and providing cross-departmental support. The projects ranged from QA-related tooling as well as mission critical systems. With GitLab being our newly curated remote repository, I created a standardized CI/CD pipeline for my department that interfaced with a separate Middleware team's deployment pipelines. This was shared to other departments to to take advantage of.
Some of those mission critical systems recently moved to Cloud infrastructure, which required many configuration changes to have our previously self-hosted instances work in a remote IaaS environment, including major application platform upgrades, Cloud-based storage and secret management, local/cloud configuration parameterization and their retrieval. With things finally settling into place, and a large chunk of the post-migration housekeeping being done, I am slowly shifting into a performance engineering role within Operations while continuing to be the department's primary DevOps/GitOps point-of-contact.
As these are insurance systems, I am working on my Guidewire ACE (lead) certification and training, while continuing to tinker with FOSS projects in my own time.
Feel free to poke around my repositories!

⚡ Fun fact: I'm now working hybrid! Work from home is great but it is nice to connect with your coworkers in person every so often.
