The pure dataclass source-preparation API merged in #6 is absent from published 0.1.14. Prepare patch version 0.1.15 for OpenHCS registry readiness and align the stale runtime __version__ (0.1.12) with project metadata using the existing release convention.

Validation:

  • Wheel and sdist built using existing interpreter plus an owned build-tool target; all four release artifacts pass twine check. No shared environment/source changes.
  • Installed-wheel source-preparation and immutable-release validator controls: 13 passed. OpenHCS main PR514 readiness test against both installed candidate wheels: 1 passed, with no default-factory evaluation.
  • Runtime version, installed distribution metadata and artifact declaration agree. The existing immutable-release validator passed against a private local annotated tag and exact candidate HEAD. No public tag exists yet.

Candidate commit: 117c2452b679962e0d243a07ebb547dc6028cb7f. Planned release tag: v0.1.15 (publication pending review/authorization; final merged release commit must be revalidated before tagging).

The older verify_release_ready.py project-name check still expects openhcs; that pre-existing script failure is retained. Python 3.10 CI has three pre-existing recursive-projection failures; no claim is made that those are fixed by this version release.

This PR prepares release source only. It does not push a tag or publish PyPI artifacts. OpenHCS dependency floors must wait for actual publication.

Closes #7

Make merged source-readiness APIs installable from versioned wheels.
