runUnregistration deletes the record before checking the user or calling /Devices/UnRegisterNativePush. A missing token, user mismatch, non-success response, or request failure can therefore leave the server registration active without the data needed for a retry.
The sign-out hook also has a three-second timeout. The logout cleanup can delete the record while the queued hook is still waiting. Preserve this storage key during the general reset, and remove it only after a successful unregistration response.
