1886-1901: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winExercise the real anchor and clamp producers.
The test assigns both private fields directly. It can pass while a regression still lets
_willUpdate()restore the stale anchor position or lets a later resize retry write the stale clamp target.Replace the setup with real
setOptionsandresizeItempaths. Assert the element remains at100after the later_willUpdate().Suggested fix

… cancellation An explicit scroll now drops a pending anchor and clamp retry, so the seeds where a stale anchor pulled a command back move. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Summary
A newer explicit scroll command supersedes layout-driven work that was queued before it. Clear both
pendingScrollAnchorand_clampedAdjustmentat the start of_startScroll, before any iOS command deferral, so a later layout commit or clamp retry cannot overwrite the user's newer scroll intent.Adds a focused regression test that seeds a pending prepend anchor and clamped retry, starts
scrollToOffset(100), then verifies the stale work is cleared and cannot restore the old target.Validation
virtual-corescroll-command tests passtest:libpasses, including scroll-trace snapshotsThis is intentionally isolated from PR #1321, following maintainer feedback to separate the explicit-scroll cancellation fix from the larger prepend-anchor retry change.
