Support more methods on asynchronous consumer #279
Thanks for your contribution, regarding your concerns.
Currently, the xxxAsync APIs from the C++ SDK are all non-blocking and the callback will be executed in an internal I/O thread except for some cases that fail fast. So I think there is no need to leverage asyncio threads for now.
Perfect. I'm happy to remove the thread and call the acknowledgement directly if that's the preferred solution. Either way, we're just needing to be able to negatively acknowledge on the Async consumer directly

I added #282 to support neg acknowledgment via async/await constructs. Given the binding is listed as "non-blocking", there seems to be two options:
Let me know thoughts.

@BewareMyPower what is the rough timeline for the release of this? Without the negative ack support we cannot fully leverage the async consumers.

I'm going to include it in the next release (ETA: Feb.13)
