Motivation

The 6.x Getting Started page installs 5.x (npm's latest tag is still 5.x; 6.0.0-alpha.1 is under alpha). It also omits the React 19 and New Architecture requirement, imports the removed MD3LightTheme, and tells Expo users to skip @react-native-vector-icons/material-design-icons, which 6.x needs: it no longer falls back to @expo/vector-icons.

Related issue

Part of #4991.

Test plan

Run yarn --cwd docs dev, open the 6.x Getting Started page, and check the @alpha install, the requirements line and the Expo icon step. The Customization sample compiles against src. Expo icons are not yet checked on a device.

The install command now uses the alpha tag, because the untagged package
still installs 5.x. The page also states that 6.x requires React 19 and
the New Architecture, and the Customization example imports LightTheme
instead of the removed MD3LightTheme.

The Expo tab now installs @react-native-vector-icons/material-design-icons,
since Paper no longer falls back to @expo/vector-icons.
