📋 Script Details

#2210

T3 Code is a web/desktop control surface for running coding agents. The container installs the T3 Code server (npm), the Codex/Claude/Grok/OpenCode provider CLIs and the GitHub CLI, and serves the web UI on port 3773. It runs as root in an unprivileged LXC via a plain system t3code.service; persistent state lives in /opt/t3code_data (outside the app dir), and updates use npm install -g t3@latest. A one-time pairing URL/QR is generated in the CT footer via pct exec … t3 pair.

    The T3 Code script is ready for testing:

    bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://github.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVED/raw/main/ct/t3code.sh)"

    Provider CLIs (Codex, Claude, Grok, OpenCode, GitHub) are included in the install. Login to the CT after creation to authenticate with these services.
    Access T3 Code at http://:3773 and pair a device with the token/QR shown after install. Regenerate it with: pct exec <CTID> -- t3 pair --base-dir /opt/t3code.

    Note: This is not in the official repo yet—it's just a dev version! After merging into ProxmoxVE, it will need to be recreated.

    T3code runs as the root user. Claude doesn’t allow the highest permission mode --dangerously-skip-permissions as root. I had to add the IS_SANDBOX=1 variable in the T3 Code settings for this enviroment.

    Because the default command mode in T3 Code is “Full access”, claude doesn’t work out of the box with the script.

    Hello,
    I try to add the gitea add-on to link with my gitea instance, who run in a other LXC. i've install tea-cli & link my gitea.

    @EelmanEmbedded I added IS_SANDBOX=1 variable in #2380
    You can check it by installing t3code with:

    COMMUNITY_SCRIPTS_URL=https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukdz/ProxmoxVED/fix/t3code-claude-sandbox \
    bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lukdz/ProxmoxVED/fix/t3code-claude-sandbox/ct/t3code.sh)"

    @e4glenight I'm not sure I understand you issue. Please provide exact display-related error and output of following commands executed in t3code LXC:

    id
    t3 --version
    type -a tea tea-cli
    tea-cli --version
    dpkg-query -W tea tea-cli
    systemctl show t3code.service -p User -p Environment

    While working on the above, I had forgot how to pair with old instance, so I decided to add it to Notes:

    You can't install tea via apt install tea (cause this package is an QT app) and tea-cli is too old.
    You have to install tea directly from dl.gitea.com :

    wget -O /usr/local/bin/tea https://dl.gitea.com/tea/0.16.0/tea-0.16.0-linux-amd64

    and then :

    chmod +x /usr/local/bin/tea

    With this, i have gitea, T3 say i'm connected. Now i have to find how to use it :D

    Looks like Debian packaging/version mismatch, not a bug in t3code installer.
