• self-test.yml: the linter's outputs (checks-failed, clang-tidy-checks-failed, clang-format-checks-failed) reach the two scripts through env: instead of ${{ }} inside run: (zizmor template-injection). The "Fail fast?!" step now sets shell: bash so the env vars also print on Windows. The self-test jobs on this PR exercise both steps.
• release.yml: branches: [main] under the release event does nothing; GitHub only supports branch filters on push/PR-style events (actionlint error). Removed, behavior unchanged.
• pre-commit.yml also runs on the edited event, so a PR title that the title check rejected is checked again after it is fixed (ccache-wheel and cpp-linter/.github already do this).
• A 7-day Dependabot cooldown.

Apart from the shared @main workflows, zizmor now reports only two self-repository hints for uses: ./ in self-test; those stay, since the self-test is meant to run the checked-out action. cpp-linter.yml is not touched.

Not changed, for you to decide: the version input still defaults to '21' while LLVM is at 23. Changing the default changes formatting results for users who don't set it, so it fits v3 better than a v2 fix release.
