Currently,
sunflowfails if thePAST_STEPS(default: 4) most recent satellite images are not available. This means that a single missing satellite image will cause 4 sequential nowcasts to fail. This PR will allow sunflow to automatically decrease the required past steps all the way to two if the requested number is not available. The forecast quality is expected to be affected negatively by a reduced number of satellige images, so the forecast lenght is automatically similarly reduced.
If the number of past steps is reduced, a warning is printed in the metadata of the netcdf file
Is it useful for EnergiNet that the number of forecast steps is reduced? Or better to simply get the same output?
