Adds a GitHub Actions workflow that runs on every pull request and on main:

  • validates the plugin manifests with Claude Code 2.1.288 and 2.1.296,
  • dry-runs the release tag,
  • checks that a change to hooks/, types/ or plugin.json raises the version, and that the README badge shows it.

The ci job passes only when every other job passes.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Chores
    • Added automated checks for pull requests and pushes to the main branch, including manifest validation, version formatting, and README badge consistency.
    • Pull requests are checked for merge commits and appropriate version changes when relevant plugin files are updated.
    • The CI status now fails if any required check fails.

Adds a GitHub Actions workflow for pull requests and pushes to main. The workflow validates manifests, checks version rules, and reports success only when both required jobs succeed.

Runs on pull requests and pushes to main. Validates manifests with Claude Code versions 2.1.288 and 2.1.296, and dry-runs the release tag.
Version checks
.github/workflows/ci.yml
Checks the manifest version format and README badge. For pull requests, checks merge status, rejects version decreases, and requires a version increase for specified changes.
Required CI result
.github/workflows/ci.yml
Fails the final ci job unless both validate and version succeed.

The CI check can fail spuriously if the README badge moves off line 7. This is a minor maintenance annoyance, and merging is low risk.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Find the version badge without relying on Line 7.

If a README edit moves the badge, sed -n 7p reads another line. The version job then fails even when the badge still matches the manifest. Locate the badge by its marker instead of its line number.
