The corrected v0.9.0 release reached notarization Accepted but app ticket validation repeatedly failed with exit 68. A secret-free macOS 15 probe successfully validated the existing published app. The hosted-runner issue at actions/runner-images#14924 confirms intermittent ticket-service transport failures. The detailed image schedule excludes macOS 14 during today's brownout, so it is not a usable recovery target.
Keep macOS 15 as the default. Permit a manual, server-validated choice of the current GA standard ARM64 macOS 26 image. Only macos-15 and macos-26 reach the build matrix; arbitrary names, paid larger runners and retired/brownout targets are rejected before build jobs start. This changes no packet-filter rules, signing trust, credentials, signing/notarization/Gatekeeper/updater checks, cache policy or required CI.
The v0.9.0 tag remains at product source
18ebf500. After normal CI/merge, a manual release on main can build that existing tag with macos_runner=macos-26. Workflow revision, builder image and product source are recorded separately. Actual signed packaging on the alternate image is still pending; this PR does not claim the image change has fixed the transport problem yet.Validation: 82 release-tool tests passed. The actual Bash guard accepted
macos-15/macos-26and rejected macos-14, larger images, self-hosted and injected syntax. Corrected Linux candidate standalone/embedded CLIs, clean isolated AppImage/Deb GUI startup and 15 packaged web collaboration/environment UI scenarios passed; final public byte identity is pending. No user installation or running Conn changed.
