GitHub's macOS 14 image is in a scheduled brownout (the job is cancelled in 1s; see actions/runner-images#13518) and retires on Nov 2, 2026. #2022's boot-smoke (macos-14) was cancelled twice for that reason alone. This moves the macOS leg to macos-15, which is still arm64, and changes nothing else. The check name changes from
boot-smoke (macos-14)toboot-smoke (macos-15); main's branch protection shows no required contexts, so nothing else needs updating.
