Sync Laravel updates for queues, database, JSON:API and FTP - #719
#61942 — Fix touch() on through relationships by updating the related table through its selected IDs, preserving intermediate soft-delete constraints.
#61965 — Batch Redis bulk-dispatch payloads and notifications together. Keep bounded buffers, mixed immediate/delayed ordering and exact completion counts.
#61973, #61974, #61985, #62010 — Reconcile regression coverage for repeated scheduled callbacks and unique queue locks after transaction rollback or failed dispatch. The existing coroutine state and lock ownership already handle these paths.
#61981, #61977 — Support UniqueFor attributes on broadcast events and make Mercure delivery synchronous by default, with an explicit async option. Update configuration and the corresponding broadcasting documentation.
#61979 — Preserve fractional process and idle timeouts supplied as CarbonInterval values.
#61995 — Prevent queries run during reconnection from recursively reconnecting the same logical connection.
#61993 — Skip contextual container lookup when no contextual bindings are registered.
#61991 — Apply model casts to extra attributes supplied to increment and decrement operations.
#62007 — Check scheduler overlap locks without acquiring and releasing them.
#62017 — Reconcile fake-aware limiter timeout behavior and its regression coverage.
#62014 — Constrain both information-schema tables when inspecting MySQL and MariaDB foreign keys, avoiding work across unrelated databases.
#62009, #62043 — Fix self-referencing one-of-many existence, count and aggregate queries. Establish the related alias before merging joins and keep aggregate subquery models independent of outer aliases, including soft-deleted and polymorphic relations.
#61970 — Include elapsed runtime in failed scheduled-task events and document its units and nullable value.
#62000, #62023, #62152 — Retain JSON:API relationship-loading customization while preserving whole-level batching for default includes. Filter conditional attributes before expanding their keys, and complete nested-include and collection coverage.
#61998 — Qualify the deleted column when restoring joined models.
#61972 — Add detect_mime_type_using_path to FTP and SFTP disks, with adapter coverage and documentation.
#61901 — Allow queue:forget to process multiple IDs, report each result and return failure if any ID is missing.
#62024, #62149 — Qualify implicit latest() and oldest() timestamps on joined Eloquent queries while preserving explicit columns, union outputs and subquery sources.
Additional Hypervel Fixes
Keep the reconnect guard active while non-PDO leases announce replacement connections, so listener queries cannot restart the reconnect cycle.
Bind binary increment/decrement extras correctly and report the actual written cast values without rerunning setters. Preserve pending observer edits and call public syncChanges() overrides during save and increment, with isolation for nested writes and exceptions.
Preserve selected scopes, custom projections and binary keys when touching through and pivot relations. Batch unbounded PDO updates within the connection's binding limit; keep limited or offset updates in one statement so their selection cannot change.
Let locks and limiters use their full requested wait: cap the final sleep to the remaining time and make the final acquisition attempt instead of stopping one interval early.
Read database lock ownership from the writer. Inspect file locks without deleting replacement owners, release them under an exclusive ownership check, and reject unlinked handles during acquisition and release.
Preserve JsonSerializable attribute conversion and connection isolation in JSON:API resources. Collection loading runs on the first resource for the root and nested batches; later per-parent compilation cannot undo preloaded relationships. Default loading stays batched, and override detection caches only immutable per-class metadata.
Preserve zero-valued and backed-enum Mercure connection names. Keep synchronous Mercure worker-free while honoring uniqueness, commit timing and rescued cleanup failures; explicit outbox delivery uses the queue. Deferred direct publishing reads nested event objects at commit, while queued payloads retain dispatch-time capture.
Release deferred job locks even when a pooled queue cannot be reacquired. Honor ShouldRescue for deferred broadcast failures across queues and failover, while propagating cancellation and retaining transaction ownership.
Resolve FTP installation with Swoole's built-in FTP functions. Add development adapter dependencies, verify the runtime capability in CI and document the application-root Composer declaration, Swoole build option and native-extension conflict. Published packages do not claim to provide the extension.
Require FTP/SFTP adapter versions that support path-based MIME detection, and verify that the CI runtime exposes Swoole FTP without the conflicting native extension.
Avoid quadratic replacement-array reindexing when formatting SQL errors with many bindings.
Clarify that supported Laravel compatibility is behavioral and departures require evidence from compatible alternatives.
Formatting, source/type analysis, affected tests, Testbench and package-consumer checks pass. Targeted relationship and binding checks also pass on MySQL and PostgreSQL, with isolated Redis coverage for queue and limiter behavior.
Note
Sync Laravel updates for queues, database, JSON:API, FTP, and locks
Adds Relation::updateRelatedKeys, which chunks related-key updates by the PDO binding limit, and uses it from BelongsToMany::touch and a new HasOneOrManyThrough::touch with binary-key encoding
Fixes Model::incrementOrDecrement / incrementOrDecrementEach to cast extra values for storage and track changes via syncIncrementedChanges and HasAttributes::syncChangesFrom
Switches Lock::block and concurrency/duration limiters to microsecond deadlines so the final sleep is capped to the remaining timeout; FileLock release and owner reads no longer delete replacement lock files, and DatabaseLock owner reads use the write PDO
Adds synchronous Mercure broadcasting: MERCURE_ASYNC config, BroadcastManager::dispatchSynchronousBroadcast with after-commit transactions and unique-lock handling, plus queue:forget accepting multiple IDs
FTP/SFTP disks now support detect_mime_type_using_path, use Swoole FTP (ext-ftp provided, not required), and the Redis bulk Lua script flushes jobs and notifications in groups of 100
Risk: behavior changes are scattered across many call sites — check BelongsToMany::touch scope reapplication, Connection::tryAgainIfCausedByLostConnection reconnect guard, CanBeOneOfMany join-model qualification, and UniqueBroadcastEventUniqueFor attribute resolution
Define compatibility by supported behavior and require investigation of compatible adaptations and reasonable alternatives before recommending a departure. Resolve uncertainty with focused tests or prototypes, identify concrete costs, and present supporting evidence for owner approval.
Port laravel/framework#61942 (3517d4dbb24ae7d49e9dadebe4d9820c3968bd72).
Select the related IDs before touching their table, retaining intermediate soft-delete constraints and withoutTouching behavior. Add the upstream through-relation coverage while preserving the existing assertions.
Both complete through-relation test files pass.
Port laravel/framework#61965 (3496cdf7008a6ff2657c5540ad38cddce26ae599).
Flush bounded payload and notification buffers together, including before delayed writes. Preserve mixed-job ordering, exact completion counts and preceding successful writes when a later Redis operation fails.
The Redis integration file and queue, outbox and Horizon consumers pass. Coverage includes empty, boundary and larger batches, mixed delayed jobs and partial failure.
Port the regression from laravel/framework#61973 (1adc68b20f647bd470f9e67b801c0e84268ad114).
The existing coroutine-local invocation state already prevents an earlier callback exception from escaping a later successful run. Move overlapping coverage into the upstream integration test, retaining exact failure identity and the recovered return value.
Both complete callback test files pass.
Reconcile laravel/framework#61974 (88aadc10c5f9ad54aa3c8884572411a3eb5f9ce6), #61985 (3c775493cf679a6cddd813d4a6996ac15233deb4) and #62010 (8a58e4696cab87eb0be42bf58cb4d45bceafe8f8).
Add the upstream rollback and failed-push regressions against the existing dispatch-lock ownership cleanup. Verify that a rolled-back queued listener can be dispatched again and a failed queue push releases its unique lock.
The complete UniqueJobTest passes with the database queue.
Port laravel/framework#61981 (14e4c05951fe99ffb0863d13885255de685df7c3) and #61977 (84744cdc2f91310259f659346a20fd88de84854d), plus laravel/docs#11407 (ff6cddfc8f771c98bd39c455bb4e15cdd5322cae).
Read UniqueFor through the existing attribute resolver, preserving method precedence and zero values. Default Mercure delivery to synchronous operation and expose the async option in shipped configuration. Normalize integer and backed-enum connection names without losing the zero name.
Keep the existing HTTP Mercure transport and omit the unsupported FrankenPHP integration. Update synchronous delivery and uniqueness documentation. Both complete broadcasting test files pass.
Port laravel/framework#61979 (631f8a6e68e2c44c16d7e36387ddec89b9810e99).
Keep fractional totalSeconds values for process and idle timeouts instead of truncating them to integers. Widen the stored timeout types accordingly and retain the upstream subsecond regressions.
Update the concurrency assertion to the actual float supplied by CarbonInterval without weakening its strict comparison. Complete Process and Concurrency tests pass, with the established Swoole STDIN skip.
Port laravel/framework#61995 (686f6bf4d1d62e509f9b419415c8c1c91922351c).
Guard reconnect attempts on the logical connection and reset the guard in finally. Resolve and announce non-PDO replacement leases inside reconnect so event callbacks run under the same guard as PDO connections.
Regression tests demonstrate the recursive reconnect before the fix and preserve the original failure. Complete PDO, driver-neutral connection and lease/pool/manager tests pass.
Port laravel/framework#61993 (7b8a685ab02cfb1f35326f0eda19f853f1c5ec39).
Return immediately from getContextualConcrete when no contextual bindings are registered. Retain the lower-level guard because recipe resolution also calls that lookup directly.
The complete Container suite and source analysis pass.
Port laravel/framework#61991 (9bbacaf625b829929f615d5da00bc85701220610).
Pass the cast storage values of extra attributes into both increment paths before updating events. Apply binary binding conversion only at the SQL boundary, preserving raw values for model refresh and original-state synchronization.
The encrypted-attribute regression and binary increment/decrement cases fail before correction and pass afterward. Complete update, binary and model tests pass; binary extras also pass on MySQL.
Port laravel/framework#62007 (0fd73881deb1d659d39e975c814fd35df2cea6f8).
Use the lock contract isLocked method to check overlap without acquiring and releasing the lock, avoiding interference with onOneServer scheduling. The existing contract guarantees this method, so no optional-method fallback is needed.
Port the observation regression and preserve existing active/inactive lock coverage. The complete mutex test file passes.
Reconcile laravel/framework#62017 (6168f60d55ee89b4d337b8a920533a95e5354835).
Use integer-microsecond deadlines with fake-aware time and cap the final sleep to the remaining wait. The previous look-ahead check could stop one interval early and miss a resource released within the requested timeout. Every sleep now leads to an acquisition attempt.
Preserve immediate acquisition, block(0), callback handling and idle connection release. Port the upstream faked-Sleep regression and cover successful acquisition at the deadline in all four loops. Affected lock, limiter and consumer tests pass, including isolated Redis integration.
Port laravel/framework#62014 (f9aed736a89adce3dccccb0bd656d185d28d7437).
Constrain both information_schema tables by schema and table to avoid scanning unrelated referential constraints on servers with many databases. MariaDB inherits the same query.
Port every implicit and explicit schema assertion. Both grammar test files and MySQL simple/compound foreign-key inspection checks pass.
Port laravel/framework#62009 (a0d6db3446a469e2619311f58425e0953b8e4c70).
Establish the self-relation alias before merging one-of-many joins and qualify the foreign key against that alias. Apply the same correction to MorphOne, including its morph-type column, which has the same reproduced defect.
Port the has, withCount and doesntHave regression and cover polymorphic type isolation. Both complete test files and related relationship consumers pass.
Port laravel/framework#61970 (3727a91780ac544845b4cd1abdcd6f5bf8d10f0d).
Append a nullable runtime to ScheduledTaskFailed and supply elapsed seconds from the existing command start time. Preserve listener guards and cancellation handling.
Document the units and unavailable value, and retain the upstream runtime assertion alongside existing event checks. The complete scheduling command test file passes.
Port laravel/framework#62000 (04c07c33d9bd49dd03567ffb5b78ab339d6f50dc), #62023 (6ea1b32090c0f39fb38675b4ecb066b7d1dd45d3) and #62152 (719bf5a318bbc82d25508b5a8c559f66aae6668d).
Retain all upstream relationship-loading hooks and invoke custom implementations at their original call sites with the owning parent and arguments. Default loaders keep whole-level batching by model class, connection and relationship. Cache only immutable per-class override metadata and clear it through existing state cleanup.
Filter conditional attributes before expanding integer keys, while preserving JsonSerializable conversion semantics. Reconcile nested and undeclared include coverage, and test custom constraints, parent identity, collection hook ordering and connection isolation.
All JSON:API unit and integration tests pass with the upstream query-count assertions preserved. Formatting and full source/type analysis pass.
Port laravel/framework#61998 (ce7a0de5aed01ed1e45791a78def2343e6a33abc).
Use the existing join-aware deleted-column lookup for restore, matching delete and avoiding ambiguous columns when the joined model also uses soft deletes.
Port the through-parent restore regression and fixtures. Complete through-relation and soft-delete scope tests pass. The regression reproduces the prior ambiguous-column failure on MySQL and passes with the fix.
Port laravel/framework#61972 (c90a0c8d51764149c5b52b2bb8c3dc71fd3cf189).
Pass detect_mime_type_using_path to both remote adapters, normalize the optional boolean at disk construction and retain it in pooled configuration. Add both adapters as development dependencies and remove obsolete missing-class suppressions.
Declare the development root as providing ext-ftp because Swoole supplies the actual FTP functions without registering that extension. Published packages make no such assertion. Document the Swoole build option, native-extension conflict, capability check and application-root Composer declaration; remove the resolved installation todo.
Gate FTP tests on ftp_connect and assert that capability in the CI image recipe. Both complete filesystem test files, normal Composer install/platform checks and source analysis pass. The capability assertion passes on both existing PHP CI images.
Port laravel/framework#61901 (c3e586825b0d459169f65702ddcc980b5b541e8a).
Accept multiple IDs and report the result for each, continuing after missing IDs while returning failure if any could not be removed. Preserve the existing successful command return behavior.
Port all command regressions, update the generated signature fixture and document multiple-ID usage. The command and complete signature test files pass.
Port laravel/framework#62024 (c4340e646ac6fd7626e01c51cb74f3f13e20aa82) with #62149 (6956459735a4792b87776137003ce67962b347e5).
Qualify the default latest/oldest timestamp for joined queries with a string source, using the existing alias-aware qualification. Preserve explicit columns, union output names and raw or subquery sources.
Port both upstream pagination regressions with all ordering assertions. The complete cursor pagination file passes on SQLite and the affected join/subquery cases pass on MySQL.

Walkthrough
This pull request changes Mercure dispatch, FTP and SFTP support, JSON:API relationship loading, database and Eloquent behavior, timeout handling, scheduling, cache locks, and queue operations. It also updates compatibility guidance, tests, and documentation.
Mercure connections gain an async option, defaulting to false. Eligible Mercure-only events can publish synchronously. Transaction, outbox, rescue, and dispatch-lock paths retain their respective handling.
Unique broadcast duration resolution reads the UniqueFor attribute when no uniqueFor() method supplies a value. Tests cover inheritance, precedence, and deferred failure handling.
CI checks for Swoole FTP capability. Composer setup, tests, and documentation describe Swoole FTP support and Flysystem package requirements.
Remote disk MIME detection src/filesystem/src/FilesystemManager.php, src/filesystem/src/FilesystemAdapter.php, src/docs/filesystem.md, tests/Filesystem/FilesystemManagerTest.php
FTP and SFTP adapter construction passes detect_mime_type_using_path, defaulting to false. Tests cover path-based MIME detection.

Collection and nested relationship loading src/http/src/Resources/JsonApi/AnonymousResourceCollection.php, src/http/src/Resources/JsonApi/Concerns/ResolvesJsonApiElements.php, src/http/src/Resources/JsonApi/JsonApiResource.php, tests/Integration/Http/Resources/JsonApi/*
Collections resolve included resources through shared relationship-loading logic. Requested relationships load by model class and connection, with custom loaders supported.
Attribute conversion and resource behavior src/http/src/Resources/JsonApi/Concerns/ResolvesJsonApiElements.php, tests/Http/Resources/JsonApi/JsonApiResourceTest.php, tests/Integration/Http/Resources/JsonApi/JsonApiResourceTest.php
JsonSerializable attribute results are converted to arrays before filtering. Tests cover collection serialization, nested includes, query counts, and conditional attributes.
Eligible joined queries qualify default latest and oldest columns. Increment operations prepare extra attributes for storage and synchronize changes with stored values.
One-of-many queries use updated join construction and key qualification. Relation updates support binding-limited chunks, and through and many-to-many relations update related timestamps.
MySQL foreign-key metadata src/database/src/Schema/Grammars/MySqlGrammar.php, tests/Database/DatabaseMariaDbSchemaGrammarTest.php, tests/Database/DatabaseMySqlSchemaGrammarTest.php
Foreign-key queries filter both metadata tables by the requested schema and table.
An explicit lock flush or forget during a file-lock release can let two owners hold the same lock. Nested JSON:API loader constraints may also be applied to the wrong parents. Both should be resolved or accepted before merge.

Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description is not based on the required template. It omits the required headings, and it does not select a contribution type. It has no Problem and change section and no Supporting evidence section. It has no Before submitting checklist. The Verification section is replaced by a summary that says formatting, type analysis, affected tests, Testbench, package-consumer checks, and targeted MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis checks pass. It gives no commands or results. The PR is also a large sync that lists many upstream Laravel PRs. The template says the team handles upstream ports and that porting PRs should not be opened. The description does not address that policy. Most of the listed items are detailed, so the author did provide real content. The required structure and evidence are missing, however.
Resolution
Rewrite the description using the repository template. Select one contribution type. The upstream sync content conflicts with the contribution guide, which says porting PRs should not be opened. Use the missing upstream functionality form for eligible omissions, or split out direct bug fixes and performance improvements. For each bug fix, name the regression test and show its failing result without the fix and its passing result with the fix. For each performance change, add reproducible before-and-after benchmarks, commands, environment, tradeoffs, and correctness coverage. For each approved Hypervel-specific feature, link the maintainer approval. Add a Problem and change section and a Supporting evidence section. In Verification, list the commands run and their results, including a successful composer fix run from the repository root. Complete the Before submitting checklist only after these steps are done.

High-Level Assessment
The following are alternative approaches to this PR:
1. Always load JSON:API relationships per resource
➕ Naturally preserves each resource's custom loader and constraints.
➖ Loses whole-level batching and can reintroduce N+1 queries for default resources.
2. Pipeline Redis bulk writes outside Lua
➕ Could simplify the Lua buffer implementation.
➖ Changes server-side ordering and partial-failure behavior, particularly around delayed jobs and notifications.
Recommendation: Keep the PR's hybrid approach: batch default JSON:API includes while invoking custom loaders at their owning resource, and retain bounded Redis writes inside the existing script. These preserve the extension points and failure semantics the alternatives put at risk.
LuaScripts.phpBatch Redis payload and notification writes+24/-4
Batch Redis payload and notification writes
• Flush bounded immediate-job buffers together before delayed writes and at completion, preserving ordering, counts, and earlier writes on later failures.
HasOneOrManyThrough.phpTouch related models through selected IDs+33/-0
Touch related models through selected IDs
• Select IDs through the constrained relationship before updating the related table, preserving intermediate soft deletes and withoutTouching behavior.
ResolvesJsonApiElements.phpPreserve JSON:API hooks while batching default includes+92/-2
Preserve JSON:API hooks while batching default includes
• Filter conditional attributes before expanding keys, normalize serialized attributes, and load requested nested relationships by model class and connection. Custom loaders retain their receiver; immutable per-class override metadata determines when default batching applies.

A custom loader on the first resource applies its per-instance constraints to every root model, so other resources can receive incorrectly loaded relationships; later per-resource loaders cannot correct them because those relationships are already loaded. Load descendants through each resource's own loader instead of invoking the first resource's loader for the entire collection.

Collection loading invokes the first resource's hook on all root models and recursively on the flattened nested batches. Later per-parent compile calls retain their receiver, but cannot undo relationships already loaded by that batch pass. Batch overrides must constrain the supplied models rather than apply the receiver's per-instance settings to every parent. The constructor-dependent regression covers only its named case. This retains the upstream batch contract without introducing per-root N+1 queries.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
The shared pass also invokes the first resource’s loader for nested models, before per-parent loading. The constructor-dependent test avoids that pass because the resource cannot be reconstructed, so it doesn’t cover a constructible resource with per-instance constraints.
BroadcastManager::queue() calls dispatchNow() for synchronous Mercure without honoring the
broadcast wrapper's afterCommit setting. If such an event is emitted inside a transaction that
rolls back, subscribers receive an update for data that was never committed.
Immediate dispatch does not pass through the queue. The broadcast wrapper carries afterCommit, but
the queue path is where transaction-sensitive dispatch is deferred.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
Immediate Mercure delivery bypasses explicit after-commit dispatch.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/broadcasting/src/BroadcastManager.php[201-215]
- src/broadcasting/src/BroadcastEvent.php[63-70]
## Recommended Fix
When after-commit delivery is requested within a transaction, register immediate broadcasting for successful commit instead of publishing immediately. Preserve inline delivery outside transactions and handle uniqueness consistently.

2. Later resources lose custom loading 🐞 Bug≡ Correctness
Description
AnonymousResourceCollection::loadMissingRequestedRelationships() checks only the first resource
when deciding whether to invoke a custom loader. In a collection whose first resource uses default
loading and a later resource overrides it, default preparation loads the later resource's
relationships before its constraint hook runs.
+ $resource = $this->collection->first();++ // Honor custom loading before the default batch can populate those relationships.+ if ($resource instanceof JsonApiResource && ! $resource->usesDefaultRelationshipLoading()) {+ $resource->loadMissingRequestedRelationshipsOn(
Evidence
The new collection path selects the first resource's hook and then prepares every resource.
Preparation batches missing relations without checking each root resource's override, while later
compilation can skip already-loaded relationships.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
Collection preparation chooses custom loading from only its first resource.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/http/src/Resources/JsonApi/AnonymousResourceCollection.php[60-74]
- src/http/src/Resources/JsonApi/Concerns/ResolvesJsonApiElements.php[463-502]
## Recommended Fix
Partition or visit resources by their actual loading behavior before default batching, invoking each applicable custom hook with its owning resource and appropriate models. Add a mixed-resource collection regression test.

3. Joined archive queries cannot sort 🐞 Bug≡ Correctness
Description
Eloquent\Builder::latest() and oldest() qualify an implicit timestamp with the model's table
whenever a joined query has a string from, without checking what that source names. A caller that
replaces or aliases the source table gets an order clause referring to a table name absent from the
query.
The new predicate checks only that from is a string. Query builders permit replacing that string,
whereas qualifyColumn delegates to the model and prefixes its own table name.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
Implicit timestamp ordering assumes the joined query still uses the unaliased model table.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/database/src/Eloquent/Builder.php[423-450]
## Recommended Fix
Account for an overridden or aliased from table before qualifying implicit timestamps in both latest() and oldest(). Retain the existing explicit-column, union, and subquery behavior and test joined overridden sources.

4. Large through-relation touches can fail✓ Resolved
Description
HasOneOrManyThrough::touch() materializes every related ID and supplies the entire collection to
one whereIn() update. A parent with many related rows therefore creates a proportional number of
bindings and can exceed the database's statement limits rather than completing its timestamp update.

Touching a large through relation puts every related ID into one update statement.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/database/src/Eloquent/Relations/HasOneOrManyThrough.php[587-615]
## Recommended Fix
Keep the relation's constrained ID selection, but update related rows in bounded ID batches or use a suitable constrained subquery. Verify large relations without losing intermediate soft-delete constraints.

View medium (3) 5. Failed batches leave jobs unannounced 🐞 Bug☼ Reliability
Description
LuaScripts::bulk() appends a full buffered batch to the payload list before attempting its
notification write. If the notification key has the wrong Redis type, that write errors after as
many as 100 payloads have been stored, while the caller receives no batch confirmation and cannot
account for those queued jobs.
The flush writes up to 100 payloads before notifications, and Redis script errors do not undo
preceding writes. The caller requires an exact returned count and handles an exception as failed
publication; the existing wrong-type test demonstrates retained earlier writes.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
A notification-key error occurs after an entire buffered payload batch is written.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/queue/src/LuaScripts.php[70-101]
- src/queue/src/RedisQueue.php[529-548]
## Recommended Fix
Check both destination key types before a flush can mutate either list, or otherwise prevent a failed notification write from leaving an unconfirmed buffered batch. Test a wrong-type notification key with more than one immediate job.

6. CI FTP check passes without Swoole's FTP✓ Resolved
Description
The new Dockerfile step only checks function_exists("ftp_connect"), and PHP's own ftp extension
provides that function too. If the base image loads PHP's ftp extension, the check passes even
when Swoole was built without --enable-swoole-ftp. Filesystem tests would then run against
blocking PHP FTP instead of the coroutine-aware Swoole version, and nothing reports that the setup
the docs require is missing.
+# The development Composer root declares the FTP capability supplied by Swoole.+RUN php -r 'if (! function_exists("ftp_connect")) { fwrite(STDERR, "Swoole FTP support is required for filesystem tests.\n"); exit(1); }'
Evidence
The check only looks for the function name and does not ask which extension defines it. Nothing in
the Dockerfile builds Swoole with --enable-swoole-ftp or turns PHP's ftp extension off, so
whatever the base image ships decides whether the check passes. The new docs say Swoole must provide
FTP and that PHP's ftp extension should be disabled.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
The CI image check accepts `ftp_connect` from any extension, so it cannot show that Swoole's coroutine FTP support is the one being used.
## Fix Focus Areas
- .github/docker/ci/Dockerfile[98-99]
## Recommended Fix
Check which extension defines the function, for example: `php -r '$f = new ReflectionFunction("ftp_connect"); if (strtolower((string) $f->getExtensionName()) !== "swoole" || extension_loaded("ftp")) { fwrite(STDERR, "Swoole FTP support (without ext-ftp) is required.\n"); exit(1); }'`. If the base image does not build Swoole with `--enable-swoole-ftp`, also rebuild or configure the image so that it does.

7. Unique Mercure broadcasts are no longer deduplicated✓ Resolved
Description
BroadcastManager::queue() sends synchronous Mercure broadcasts through dispatchNow() before
constructing a UniqueBroadcastEvent or checking its ShouldBeUnique lock. Because Mercure is
synchronous by default, repeated broadcasts of events marked ShouldBeUnique or UniqueFor reach
publication without deduplication unless MERCURE_ASYNC=true.
The synchronous branch dispatches a plain BroadcastEvent and returns before the queued branch
constructs UniqueBroadcastEvent and checks its lock. The Mercure helper selects that branch by
default because async defaults to false, while the new documentation describes UniqueFor for
unique broadcast events without noting this exception.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
Synchronous Mercure broadcasts bypass the unique broadcast lock under the new default, allowing repeated broadcasts of unique events to be published.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/broadcasting/src/BroadcastManager.php[200-258]
- src/broadcasting/src/Mercure/CreatesMercureDrivers.php[113-131]
## Recommended Fix
Ensure `ShouldBeUnique` events acquire the existing unique-broadcast lock before synchronous Mercure dispatch and skip dispatch when acquisition fails. If they continue to execute inline, release lock ownership after execution or failure; alternatively, keep unique events on the queued path where the lock is already checked. Document the resulting behavior and add a test.

3. Joined archive queries cannot sort 🐞 Bug≡ Correctness
Eloquent\Builder::latest() and oldest() qualify an implicit timestamp with the model's table
whenever a joined query has a string from, without checking what that source names. A caller that
replaces or aliases the source table gets an order clause referring to a table name absent from the
query.
Agent Prompt
## Issue description
Implicit timestamp ordering assumes the joined query still uses the unaliased model table.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/database/src/Eloquent/Builder.php[423-450]
## Recommended Fix
Account for an overridden or aliased from table before qualifying implicit timestamps in both latest() and oldest(). Retain the existing explicit-column, union, and subquery behavior and test joined overridden sources.

No change needed. The implicit timestamp uses the query builder qualification path, which resolves the actual string source and its alias rather than assuming the model table. Joined archived_posts and aliased-source probes produce the correct qualification for both latest and oldest; explicit columns and subquery sources remain unchanged.

No type preflight added. This scenario requires corrupted Redis storage or a queue name colliding with a reserved internal suffix, which the documented queue naming contract excludes. Bulk dispatch does not promise rollback of writes after a Redis command failure. Extra TYPE calls would add work to every supported enqueue without fixing a supported storage state.

Keep Mercure publishing worker-free while honoring unique locks and transaction commit or rollback. Explicit outbox delivery retains queue routing, and immediate broadcasts retain their existing priority. Direct publishing avoids serialization and model reloads; nested event objects are read when the deferred callback runs.
Claim deferred dispatch locks before reacquiring a pooled queue so lease failures cannot strand ownership. Share this cleanup boundary with failover and rollback, and let BroadcastEvent apply ShouldRescue after the original manager call has returned. Preserve queue-owned payload capture, transaction selection and cancellation chains without adding transaction-manager state.
Extend real dispatch coverage for queue and failover failures, cancellation, rollback cleanup, nonserializable Mercure events and uniqueness. Strengthen existing unique-job exception assertions and update broadcasting guidance. Affected queue, bus and broadcasting suites, targeted static analysis and formatting pass.

Select through-related keys independently of caller projections and preserve the scopes that selected those rows. Pivot touches retain explicitly removed scopes. Encode binary keys at the binding boundary so updates use the same identity as the selection.
Share related-key updates at Relation, applying scopes once and batching only unbounded PDO updates within the connection binding limit. Keep limited or offset updates as one statement so splitting cannot change the selected rows; non-PDO drivers retain their own statement behavior.
Cover custom projections, soft-delete scope removal, binary keys, binding boundaries and scoped limit/offset updates. Affected relationship suites and native PostgreSQL and MySQL checks pass.
Port the complete Laravel framework #62043 fix from f72822e5b8d88729a479deae0bef93561b444932, reconciled against the frozen 13.x target 5d7797528723107cd4f495326838a7d7d67fbb20.
Build aggregate subqueries from a cloned model and retain the join model used for qualification. Self-referencing relations no longer inherit the outer query alias inside their aggregate subqueries. Preserve native types and the existing polymorphic type checks.
Include the upstream score and soft-delete fixtures and all applicable relation assertions, retaining distinct polymorphic coverage. Complete affected files and native MySQL and PostgreSQL relationship cases pass.
Capture extra-attribute changes before updating observers run so increment and incrementEach report the values actually written without rerunning nondeterministic cast setters. Preserve observer changes as pending edits, including mutations to cached cast objects on the refresh path.
Restore calls to public syncChanges overrides during save and increment. Pass prepared changes through a temporary coroutine-local model/value pair, with identity checks and finally restoration for nested writes, clones and throwing hooks. Keep the approved refreshSavedAttributes argument and disabled-refresh fast path.
Cover encrypted and binary extra values, observer dirty-state reversals, pending object edits and override restoration. The complete update file, affected model suites and targeted static analysis pass; native database checks cover the cast and binding paths.
Read database lock ownership and expiry from the write connection so replica lag cannot misreport live locks. Inspect file lock records without expiring or deleting a replacement owner during the read.
Check file ownership under an exclusive lock before release. Detect an unlinked open handle after acquiring its lock, preventing both a waiting acquisition and a waiting release from acting on a replacement file. Reuse the existing lock file instead of adding sidecar locks or retry machinery.
Add split-connection, replacement-owner, waiting-release and unlinked-handle regressions. A native acquisition interleaving, mutation check, affected files and lock consumers pass.
Reject Flysystem FTP and SFTP adapters below 3.13 in the split package and development root, since older constructors do not accept the MIME path option. Keep installation examples aligned with the existing recommended adapter version.
Require the CI runtime to expose Swoole FTP functions without loading the conflicting native FTP extension. Composer resolution and validation pass, and both existing PHP CI images satisfy the capability check.
Document that root collection preloading runs on the first resource with the whole batch, while nested relationship loading retains its parent resource. Rename the constructor-dependent regression to describe the parent identity it protects. Preserve resource-aware batching instead of reintroducing one query per root.
Existing JSON API unit and integration coverage passes; runtime behavior is unchanged.
Normalize replacement values once and consume them by index in Str::replaceArray. Repeated array_shift calls made formatting SQL errors with many bindings quadratic in the replacement count.
Preserve associative input order, missing replacements, value conversion and cancellation behavior. The complete existing SupportStrTest suite passes without adding duplicate tests or timing benchmarks.

Check the open file link count after acquiring the refresh lock. A normal release and reacquisition between opening and locking the file must not let the previous owner report a successful refresh of an orphaned inode.
Use an isolated native-lock interception fixture to cover both acquisition and refresh at the replacement boundary. Removing the acquisition guard reproduces two reported owners; the full file-store and file-lock suites pass with the guards intact.
Clarify that JSON API collection loaders recurse over nested batches on the first resource before per-parent compilation, and add the missing Mercure test-provider docblock. Targeted analysis, formatting and affected tests pass.
