#62019, #62151 — Add JPEG XL output and dimension support. Require Intervention Image 4.2 for the encoder and document the format.
#62113 — Support #[Table(key: false)] and align nullable primary-key declarations across models and consumers.
#62065 — Honor a child model's connection attribute when its parent declares a connection property.
#62039 — Preserve selected relationship columns when withWhereHas also receives a callback.
#62031 — Add the strict option to the numeric rule builder, with tests and documentation.
#62042 — Handle warnings from dead PDO handles during replacement and reconnect.
#62078, #62099, facade update — Add PreventStaleDatabaseReads and usingWritePdo, update the DB facade, and document session-based read routing and scoped writer reads.
#62049 — Replace HealthCheckController with the constructor-free HealthCheck endpoint and update routing and Workbench.
#62057 — Remove the unavailable higher-order collection until proxy and its type expectations.
#62051 — Use the related table name for one-of-many relationship aliases inferred inside closures.
#62081 — Add Relation::clone() so cloning retains the relationship and its constraints, with independent underlying queries.
#62077 — Dispatch UniqueJobSkipped when a duplicate unique broadcast cannot acquire its lock.
Input key budget, parsing refinement — Bound transformed input keys, retain middleware extension points, and include the upstream amplified-input and memory-copy regressions.
#62005 — Normalize view namespace hint paths when adding, prepending or replacing them.
#62045, #62083 — Add and consolidate regressions for unique listener and scheduled-job lock cleanup after failed dispatch.
Prevent keyless inserts from trying to assign a generated ID after writing the row. Instance operations needing a primary key fail clearly while custom save-key overrides remain supported. Keyless Eloquent collection dictionary operations now throw instead of silently returning empty results, as Laravel does. Unsaved keyed models retain their existing behavior; use concat() or unique('column') for keyless collections.
Keep the input-key counter coroutine-local so concurrent requests cannot consume or bypass each other's budget. Count locally per array rather than accessing coroutine context for every key.
Avoid borrowing a database pool slot on query-free requests. The stale-read middleware uses the connection already held by its execution and preserves its original default connection. The testing resolver follows its active pooled or retained ownership mode.
Release temporary PDO references before replacing dead handles so destruction warnings are handled at the setters. Preserve callback, rollback and cancellation failures, and recognize native PDO TLS connection-loss warnings. Add real reconnect and pooled-release regressions.
Resolve health-check event dispatch at invocation so an earlier request cannot retain an obsolete dispatcher after an event fake changes. Preserve cancellation, diagnosis reporting and request-local view data.
Clarify the existing direct-PDO API difference: named connections own their handles and pool settings, and migrations_connection selects the migration endpoint.
Preserve inherited table and connection attribute overrides in descendant models, and retain the inherited table when Table only configures other settings. Construction-time values that differ from the property default remain intact; an explicit choice equal to that default must be applied after parent construction to override the inherited attribute.
Keep generated one-of-many join aliases separate from schema names and avoid collisions with the related table. Explicit aliases remain unchanged; schema-qualified SQLite projections still require explicit columns.
Apply ShouldRescue to unique-broadcast lock acquisition and skipped-event listeners, preserving cancellation and owned-lock cleanup.
Handle unavailable JPEG XL encoding delegates in the test fixture. Publish CI images without provenance indexes so cleanup cannot delete child manifests still referenced by live tags.
Include the persisted resource identity in OAuth callback test sessions and verify that token exchange sends it.
Formatting, source and type-fixture analysis, affected tests, Testbench package checks and package-consumer checks pass. The full-suite run exposed a stale relation-clone assertion, which was corrected and verified with the affected tests. Native JXL cases retain codec-availability skips; the existing Swoole socket-warning defect has a version-gated regression.
Note
Sync Laravel updates: keyless models, read routing, and input limits
Models can now be keyless: Table(key: false) sets a null primary key, getKeyName() and setKeyName() are nullable, and getKey() returns null for keyless models. Model::getRawKeyForQuery(), save, refresh, delete, and Eloquent Collection dictionary operations (merge, unique, getDictionary) throw LogicException on keyless models instead of silently misbehaving. See Model.php and Collection.php.
Adds Connection::usingWritePdo() in Connection.php, a callback-scoped helper that routes reads to the write connection and restores the prior setting even on exceptions.
Adds PreventStaleDatabaseReads middleware in PreventStaleDatabaseReads.php. It uses the write connection for reads within 2 seconds (customizable via PreventStaleDatabaseReads::for($seconds)) of a session-tracked write.
TransformsRequest middleware now enforces a 20 MiB cumulative key-byte budget across query, form, and JSON input, tracked per request in coroutine context, and returns HTTP 413 when exceeded. See TransformsRequest.php.
Adds getHeldConnection() to ConnectionResolver and DatabaseManager, JXL image support (toJxl, image/jxl MIME types) with Intervention Image raised to ^4.2, strict mode for Rule::numeric(), schema-qualified table handling in one-of-many relations, and replaces HealthCheckController with HealthCheck.
Behavioral Change: keyless models that previously skipped or misfired on dictionary operations and identity-requiring methods now throw LogicException; PdoConnection::setPdo/setReadPdo suppress warnings during handle replacement; until is removed as a higher-order collection proxy.

Allow Table(key: false), align nullable primary-key declarations across models and consumers, and keep child connection attributes authoritative without reflecting on each hydration. Preserve selected columns when withWhereHas also receives a callback.
Keyless inserts no longer attempt to assign a generated ID after writing. Identity-dependent instance operations and collection dictionaries fail clearly instead of losing rows, while custom save keys and unsaved keyed-model collection behavior remain supported. Document concat and explicit-column unique as the keyless collection alternatives.
Validated the affected model, collection, relationship and consumer tests, including failing-before collection regressions and SQLite insertion and retrieval. Source/type analysis, formatting, and the corrected full-batch verification pass.
Port Laravel framework PRs #62042 (6d2eefbb1476a898ecc75e2a212676cd7129a55d), #62078 (213b1e6048c8338f87815d3b3ddfe474af853be0), #62099 (4b3f2d8e1c92f80da1fbfd35301767e721866502), and facade update e50ad778f688cd76008ea817d36dfa29db9a2521 from the frozen 13.x target. Port the corresponding read-routing documentation from docs 13.x.
Suppress dead-handle destruction warnings at the PDO setters and release temporary references before replacement, while preserving callback, rollback and cancellation failures. Recognize native PDO TLS connection-loss warnings. The real reconnect regression covers native success and records the existing Swoole warning-suppression defect with its version-gated test.
Add PreventStaleDatabaseReads without borrowing a pool slot on query-free requests. Resolve already-held connections through the active execution or testing owner, including enum/default names. Add driver-neutral usingWritePdo callback scoping with exception-safe preference restoration and regenerate the DB facade.
Explain that direct endpoints use named connections and migrations_connection so pool ownership remains intact. Validate affected PDO, lease, resolver, manager, middleware and session tests, package-mode Testbench, source/type analysis and formatting. The final six-file correction run passes 256 tests and 817 assertions.

Add JXL output, format metadata and dimension handling while retaining image immutability, cancellation and driver cleanup. Require Intervention Image 4.2 for the encoder support and document its usage.
Affected image tests, dependency platform checks, source/type analysis and formatting pass. Native JXL encoding cases retain their existing codec-availability skips on this machine.

Enforce the transformed-input key budget with the existing middleware extension points intact. Store the counter in coroutine context and account for each array locally, avoiding shared middleware state and per-key context operations. Preserve supported subclasses and document the budget.
All upstream cases and the nested concurrent regression pass. A shared-counter mutation reproduced both incorrect rejection and budget bypass before being reverted. Property reflection confirms the setter creates no backing state; source/type analysis and formatting pass.

getHeldConnection() exposes an already-held connection. usingWritePdo() temporarily routes reads through the write connection. Middleware uses session timestamps to route reads after recent writes.
PDO lifecycle and reconnect handling src/database/src/{PdoConnection,LostConnectionDetector}.php, tests/Database/DatabasePdo*, tests/Database/DatabaseConnection*, tests/Database/Fixtures/ReconnectAfterSocketReset.php, tests/Redis/RedisConnectionTest.php
PDO handles are released before session synchronization and resource cleanup. Lost-connection classification and tests cover warnings, TLS cases, and reconnect behavior.
Database conventions and schema coverage src/database/README.md, src/docs/porting-from-laravel.md, tests/Integration/Database/Sqlite/DatabaseSchemaBuilderTest.php
Documentation describes named connections and migration connection selection. A schema test covers a foreign key to a reserved-word table name.
Models can have no primary key. Identity-dependent operations throw, and keyless collection behavior is tested. Attribute initialization now distinguishes direct attributes from inherited values. Model fixtures use nullable primary-key property types.
withWhereHas() handles relation column selections with callbacks. Relations expose clone(), and closure-defined one-of-many relations use the model table name.
Health handler and route registration src/foundation/src/Http/{HealthCheck.php,HealthCheckController.php}, src/foundation/src/Configuration/ApplicationBuilder.php, src/testbench/src/Workbench/Workbench.php, tests/Foundation/Http/HealthCheckTest.php, tests/Integration/Foundation/Support/Providers/RouteServiceProviderHealthTest.php
The /up route uses HealthCheck in place of HealthCheckController. Tests cover diagnosis dispatch, errors, cancellation, route serialization, and event fakes.

Keyless models combined with #[Refreshes] can insert a row and then throw, so a retry may create a duplicate. Trait-provided Table or Connection attributes can be ignored when a parent declares the same property. Cloned one-of-many relations share their aggregate subquery with the original. Fix the keyless insert refresh before merging; the other two are lower priority.

@binaryfire cubic can't start this review because your workspace has reached its free monthly review limit. cubic has reviewed 123,074 of the 120,000 allowed lines of code this month. Reviews resume on 10 November 2026 (in 10 days). Paid plans include much higher monthly review limits. Upgrade now to resume reviews.
To help optimise your usage, you can tune cubic to get the most out of your usage limits:
• Support keyless models, session-aware read routing, JPEG XL, and strict numeric validation.
• Limit transformed input keys and improve dead-PDO recovery, health checks, and relationship
behavior.
• Add regressions and documentation for the new behavior and Hypervel-specific compatibility.
The following are alternative approaches to this PR:
1. Split the sync by subsystem
➕ Smaller review and rollback units for database, HTTP, image, and remaining updates.
➕ Reduces the number of unrelated regressions a reviewer must assess together.
➖ Requires coordinating dependent documentation, fixtures, and tests across multiple PRs.
➖ Delays delivery of the consolidated upstream sync.
Recommendation: The subsystem-level implementation choices fit Hypervel's pooling and coroutine model, particularly held-connection inspection and coroutine-local input accounting. Prefer separate PRs by subsystem if the sync can be staged; otherwise review and verify each subsystem independently within this PR.

1. Failed requests can cause stale reads 🐞 Bug≡ Correctness
Description
PreventStaleDatabaseReads::handle() records the write timestamp only after $next($request)
returns. If a handler writes successfully and then throws, the timestamp is never set even though
the outer session middleware can save the failed request's session.
+ $response = $next($request);++ // The request may have resolved its first connection, or changed the default name.+ $connection ??= $this->manager->getHeldConnection($name);
Evidence
A write marks the connection modified, but an exception at $next skips the only code that copies
that fact into the session. StartSession schedules a session save after a failed response, making
the missing timestamp relevant to later requests.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
A write followed by a request exception skips the session timestamp update, so subsequent reads may reach a lagging replica.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/foundation/src/Http/Middleware/PreventStaleDatabaseReads.php[46-54]
## Recommended Fix
Put the held-connection lookup and modified-record check in a `finally` block around `$next($request)`, preserving the original exception and updating the session before outer session middleware saves it.

2. Test requests keep extending read routing 🐞 Bug≡ Correctness
Description
DatabaseConnectionResolver::getHeldConnection() returns the retained non-pooled test connection,
whose modified-record flag remains set between requests. After one write, each later request can
refresh _database_modified_at without writing anything, so tests do not observe the configured
delay expiring unless they manually clear that flag.
The testing resolver supplies a cached connection to the middleware; the modification flag is sticky
until explicitly cleared. The new integration tests clear it manually between requests, so they do
not exercise this retained-state path.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
Retained testing connections preserve the modified-record flag across HTTP requests, causing the new middleware to renew its session timestamp indefinitely.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/foundation/src/Testing/DatabaseConnectionResolver.php[159-165]
- src/foundation/src/Http/Middleware/PreventStaleDatabaseReads.php[48-54]
## Recommended Fix
Ensure the middleware observes modifications made during the current request rather than a flag inherited from a previous request. Add a multi-request test that checks expiry without manually calling `forgetRecordModificationState()`.

3. Cloned relations share one subquery 🐞 Bug≡ Correctness
Description
Relation::clone() invokes __clone(), which copies the main query but leaves a one-of-many
relation's separate $oneOfManySubQuery builder shared. Mutating that builder on the clone also
changes the original relation's builder, including constraints used by its relationship queries.
+ public function clone(): static+ {+ return clone $this;+ }
Evidence
The new method delegates to PHP cloning, while the existing clone hook copies only $query.
One-of-many relations store and expose a second builder, which remains the same object in both
relation instances.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
Cloning a configured one-of-many relation leaves its mutable subquery shared with the original relation.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/database/src/Eloquent/Relations/Relation.php[630-633]
- src/database/src/Eloquent/Relations/Concerns/CanBeOneOfMany.php[25-29]
## Recommended Fix
Extend cloning for one-of-many relations to clone their stored subquery builder as well as the main query. Test that changing the clone's subquery does not change the original.

4. Duplicate broadcasts can throw unexpectedly✓ Resolved
Description
BroadcastManager::queue() now resolves 'events' unconditionally when a unique broadcast cannot
acquire its lock. In an application without that binding, a collision that previously returned
without dispatching instead throws a binding-resolution exception.
The new collision branch calls make('events') without a binding check. The analogous unique-job
path guards that call, and event-provider registration is performed by an optional
application-builder method.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
The new skipped-broadcast event path throws if the application has not registered an `events` binding.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/broadcasting/src/BroadcastManager.php[240-247]
## Recommended Fix
Check whether `'events'` is bound before resolving and dispatching, as the unique-job dispatch path does. Preserve the normal return when it is absent.

View medium (2) 5. Keyless route keys fail with type errors 🐞 Bug≡ Correctness
Description
Model::getRouteKeyName() remains declared to return a string while its fallback now calls nullable
getKeyName(). Without an explicit route-key attribute, obtaining a route key or binding a keyless
model raises a return-type TypeError rather than identifying the missing key.
+ public function getKeyName(): ?string
{
return $this->primaryKey;
}
Evidence
The new nullable key-name return flows directly into a method with a string return type when no
RouteKey attribute is declared. Route-key retrieval invokes that method.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
The route-key fallback returns the new nullable primary-key name from a string-returning method.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/database/src/Eloquent/Model.php[2643-2646]
- src/database/src/Eloquent/Model.php[2769-2782]
## Recommended Fix
Preserve explicit route-key attributes, but throw a clear missing-key exception when a keyless model has no route-key name. Add coverage for route-key access and binding.

6. An inherited connection attribute loses to an older property✓ Resolved
Description
initializeModelAttributes() only forces the #[Connection] value when classDeclaresAttribute()
finds the attribute on the exact runtime class. That check does not look at parent classes, while
resolveClassAttribute() does. Take a chain where a grandparent declares $connection = 'a', the
parent has #[Connection('b')] and the child declares nothing. The code falls into the ??= branch
and keeps the grandparent's 'a', so the child's queries go to the wrong database.
classDeclaresAttribute() calls ReflectionClass(static::class)->getAttributes() and never walks
up to parent classes. resolveClassAttribute() loops through the parents, and
classPropertyDeclarer() reports the original declaring ancestor. So $declaresConnection is
false, classDeclaresAttribute is false, and ??= keeps the inherited non-null property. The new
tests only cover the direct parent-property/child-attribute case.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
A model inherits a `#[Connection]` attribute from its parent while a more distant ancestor declares the `$connection` property. In that case the ancestor's property wins, even though the attribute is the closer declaration.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/database/src/Eloquent/Model.php[547-556]
- src/database/src/Eloquent/Model.php[2561-2622]
## Recommended Fix

7. Key-based queries on keyless models crash with a type error 🐞 Bug☼ Reliability
Description
Model::getKeyName() can return null for #[Table(key: false)], but getQualifiedKeyName() passes
that value to string-typed qualifyColumn(), while hasOne() and hasMany() can pass it as a
default local key to string-typed relation code. On keyless models, cursorPaginate() through
enforceOrderBy, find(), whereKey(), and those relation defaults can therefore reach a raw
TypeError instead of the intended LogicException('No primary key defined on model.').
+ public function getKeyName(): ?string
{
return $this->primaryKey;
}
Evidence
getQualifiedKeyName() calls qualifyColumn($this->getKeyName()), although getKeyName() is
nullable and qualifyColumn() requires a string. Builder::enforceOrderBy, used by cursor
pagination, and whereKey() call getQualifiedKeyName(); identified-key queries also reach
qualified-key handling. Separately, hasOne() defaults its local key to getKeyName() and passes
it into string-typed relation code, so guarding only getQualifiedKeyName() would not address that
path.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
Keyless models can pass a null primary-key name into string-typed qualified-key and relation helpers, producing a TypeError rather than an explicit missing-primary-key error.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/database/src/Eloquent/Model.php[2643-2666]
## Recommended Fix
Have `getQualifiedKeyName()` reject a missing key before calling `qualifyColumn()`, using the existing `LogicException('No primary key defined on model.')` message. Ensure `hasOne()` and `hasMany()` defaults likewise reject a missing local key before it reaches string-typed relation code. Cover `whereKey()` and cursor pagination on keyless models, along with the identified-key and relation paths.

No additional guards: default-key find and relationship operations require a model identity. Keyless models can use explicit query conditions and explicit relationship keys. The nullable key types and native errors are intentional; adding fallback identities would hide invalid configuration.
Publish the single-platform CI images without automatic provenance attestations. The Ubuntu 26.04 runner now retains these attestations, producing tagged image indexes whose required child manifests are untagged. The existing registry cleanup keeps only the two newest untagged versions and deleted the PHP 8.4 children after publishing PHP 8.5, causing CI jobs to fail before checkout.
Explicitly disabling provenance restores the plain-manifest publication shape previously used by these internal images. Retain existing cleanup and document why the flag is needed; no runtime framework behavior changes.
Verified the failed image digest against the registry and build logs, parsed the workflow YAML, and checked the embedded build and push commands with bash -n. Publication and pull verification will run through the corrected branch workflow after the combined correction push.
Run the provider-boot test under Hypervel\Testbench\TestCase.
The PHPUnit extension resets the container and facade application after each test, so this test does not leak global application state. However, it creates a real Application and boots a provider, while Hypervel\Tests\TestCase is reserved for unit tests that do not need a container. Extract this test into a separate integration test class that extends Hypervel\Testbench\TestCase.

Reject keyless receiver models in diff() and intersect().
This check examines only the items passed to getDictionary(). If a keyless collection calls diff() or intersect() with keyed models, neither method checks the receiver's key names. The methods return a result instead of rejecting an identity comparison, unlike the new tests' keyless-input cases. Check receiver models in both methods before comparing keys.

Preserve the default constraint for subclasses.
An existing Numeric subclass can define its own constructor without calling a parent constructor. It previously inherited the numeric constraint from this property. It now inherits an empty array, so the validator applies no numeric check to that rule. (php.net)
Keep ['numeric'] as the property default and replace it with numeric:strict in the new constructor when requested. Add a test for a subclass with its own constructor.

Normalize the JPEG XL MIME type.
When finfo returns image/x-jxl, toResponse() and toDataUri() emit that alias. Clients that accept only the registered image/jxl type can reject the image. Normalize the alias in mimeType(). (core.trac.wordpress.org)

Keep Table and Connection attribute overrides effective in descendant models instead of reverting to an older property declaration. A Table attribute that configures only other settings no longer clears the inherited table property.
Cache declaration precedence and property defaults per model class. Preserve different table and connection values assigned during construction, retain direct-attribute precedence, and avoid reading uninitialized properties. Keep all other model-setting precedence rules unchanged.
Document the narrow case where a pre-initialization assignment equal to the inherited default is indistinguishable from the untouched default, with the after-construction alternative. Clarify inherited custom-key precedence and the selection hook required for keyless Refreshes models.
Validated with model and attribute tests, including failing-before construction regressions, static-state cleanup coverage, full source/type/skeleton analysis, focused reanalysis after the construction correction, and formatting.
Compare generated relationship aliases with the unqualified related table name. This prevents schema-qualified closure fallbacks from becoming invalid aliases and keeps named relationships from colliding with their related table.
Preserve explicit relationship aliases and relationship-name inference. Extend existing named and closure relationship tests to schema-qualified models, including lazy loading, eager loading and existence queries. SQLite fixtures select explicit columns to retain its native schema-qualified wildcard limitation.
Validated with the complete one-of-many test file, full source/type/skeleton analysis and formatting.
Run unique-lock acquisition and skipped-event listeners inside the existing ShouldRescue boundary. Keep acquisition before owned-lock cleanup so a skipped broadcast cannot release another dispatch lock, while ordinary events and cancellation still propagate their failures.
Cover rescued and ordinary lock/listener failures and cancellation carried by a listener exception. Clarify that unique-job and unique-broadcast skip notifications require an active listener.
Validated with the complete broadcast manager tests, full source/type/skeleton analysis and formatting.
A registered ImageMagick format does not guarantee its encoding delegate is available. Skip fixture generation when Imagick cannot produce JPEG XL output, retaining unconditional cleanup and all package assertions once a valid fixture exists.
Complete method documentation for the PDO session-configurator fixture and request-transform providers and overrides.
Validated the affected image, PDO and request-transform test files and formatting. The cached PHP 8.4 CI image exercises the existing unavailable-format skip; it does not exercise the new encoder-failure catch.

Kept the notification regression in its existing test class. It boots the real event-provider listener and exercises the sender directly; a separate Testbench class would add application scaffolding without testing a different lifecycle requirement.
Kept Numeric constructor initialization. A subclass replacing that constructor must call its parent to retain the base initialization; adding a fallback would create behavior beyond the upstream constructor contract.
Kept the native MIME result. The current fixture reports image/jxl; there is no demonstrated client failure requiring special normalization of image/x-jxl.
Did not add receiver guards for mixed key configurations in collection comparisons. The reported cases do not establish a supported identity contract beyond the existing keyless dictionary checks.
Added the requested method-title documentation and handled unavailable JXL encoders in the fixture.
The model correction is limited to table/connection inheritance and a nameless Table clearing an inherited table property. Other setting precedence remains unchanged. The database README records the narrow pre-initialization same-default behavior and the after-construction alternative.

Do not refresh a keyless insert by primary key.
If a keyless model configures #[Refreshes], this call runs after the insert has succeeded. refreshSavedAttributes() then calls setKeysForSelectQuery(), which throws No primary key defined on model. The caller receives an exception even though the row was inserted, and a retry can insert another row. Define a refresh path that does not require a key, or reject this combination before the insert. The same post-insert path exists in saveOrIgnore().

The repeated keyless Refreshes finding remains declined: refreshSavedAttributes() invokes the protected setKeysForSelectQuery() hook, so an override can identify the written row. An unconditional keyless guard would reject that supported path. The documentation states the selection requirement.
Attribute resolution and property precedence have separate rules. Trait attributes supply values when properties are unset; the declaration-based override applies to class attributes. Broadening trait precedence would introduce a different policy rather than fix the demonstrated class-inheritance failure.
The contribution-template warning does not apply to this maintainer-directed synchronization. PHP supports the attributed anonymous classes used by the regression tests; the PHPMD parser warning does not justify changing valid code. Percentage-only docstring warnings do not identify a missing contract.
The real authorization redirect stores the validated resource identifier, but the callback-route fixture omitted it. Token exchange therefore read a missing session field in the successful callback cases.
Add the resource to the shared fixture and assert that the authorization-code request sends it. Preserve the production requirement rather than adding a fallback for malformed test state.
Validated the complete callback-route test file locally and in the CI images, including reproduction of the missing-field failures before the correction. Formatting and diff checks pass.
