Summary

Merge main into vs, incorporating the recent client protocol/settings updates, localization corrections, dependency maintenance, and build-tooling changes.

This PR was investigated and created by GitHub Copilot (in VS Code). Any message starting with ✨Copilot: was sent by Copilot.

The merge is conflict-free. A separate formatting-only commit normalizes three test callback declarations.

Validation

  • TypeScript build and extension lint passed.
  • 232 extension unit tests passed.
  • 39 Actions helper tests passed with the locked TypeScript compiler.
  • The test binary-version floor is preserved; native-dependent scenario tests were not run locally.
