The little Creator Micro 2 settings shortcut at the bottom of my Codex sidebar disappeared sometime in the last week. I used to click it to go straight to the device settings.
My Creator Micro 2 is connected over USB and still works normally. I can still reach its configuration through Settings. The missing sidebar button means I now have to go through Settings each time instead of using the shortcut.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Connect a Work Louder Creator Micro 2 over USB.
- Open the Codex view in the macOS desktop app with the left sidebar visible.
- Look at the bottom of the sidebar, beside the account name, where the Micro settings shortcut used to appear.
- The shortcut is missing, even though the Micro controls work and its settings remain accessible through Settings.
These steps describe the current behavior on my installation. I don't know which update first caused it.
What is the expected behavior?
The Micro icon should be available at the bottom of the sidebar and open the device settings when clicked, as it did previously and as the official Codex Micro instructions still describe.
If this was an intentional change, please clarify where the shortcut went and update the instructions. I'd like the direct sidebar shortcut restored; it was useful.
