Problem
When a user expands a parent option and scrolls its child column, then switches to a different parent option, the freshly rendered child column keeps the previous scroll offset instead of starting from the top. Reported with a real-world cascader (provinces/cities) in ant-design/ant-design#44382, where switching provinces leaves the city list scrolled to the bottom.
Root cause
OptionListrenders eachColumnwithkey={index}, so when the parent changes, the child column'sulelement is reused and keeps its previousscrollTop. The existing effect inColumnonly scrolls when the column contains an-activeoption; when switching to a parent whose children have no active option, activeValuefor that column staysundefined, the effect does not re-run, and the stale scroll offset survives.Fix
Track the
optionsreference passed to the column. When it changes (the column content is swapped) and the column has no active option, reset the scroll withscrollTo(0, 0):Tests
Added
tests/scroll.spec.tsx:scrollTo(0, 0)is issued);All existing tests pass (the one pre-existing environment-dependent failure in
tests/index.spec.tsxon Windows/jsdom also fails on a clean checkout without this change).Reproduction
The bug reproduces on
antd@6.6.5(which uses@rc-component/cascader): expand a parent with 30 children, scroll the child column, then click another parent — the child column stays scrolled. After this patch, it resets to the top.Summary by CodeRabbit
