Rosé Pine for leaf

All natural pine, faux fur and a bit of soho vibes for the classy minimalist

Usage

  1. Copy the variants you want from themes to ~/.config/leaf

  2. Set the theme in ~/.config/leaf/config.toml:

    theme = "rose-pine.toml"

    Or rose-pine-moon.toml / rose-pine-dawn.toml. Relative paths resolve from the config directory.

Switching with the terminal appearance

LEAF_THEME takes precedence over the config file, so any shell can pick the variant by exporting it. The path must be absolute:

export LEAF_THEME="$HOME/.config/leaf/rose-pine-dawn.toml"

fish 4.3+ tracks the terminal's light or dark mode, so the variant can follow it:

function __rose_pine_leaf --on-variable fish_terminal_color_theme
    if test "$fish_terminal_color_theme" = light
        set -gx LEAF_THEME ~/.config/leaf/rose-pine-dawn.toml
    else
        set -gx LEAF_THEME ~/.config/leaf/rose-pine.toml
    end
end

Code blocks

leaf only highlights code with the syntax themes bundled into it, so code blocks use base16-ocean.dark for Rosé Pine and Rosé Pine Moon, and InspiredGitHub for Rosé Pine Dawn.
