Summary

  • Require explicit rules before replacing an R2 bucket lifecycle configuration. Reject missing or blank input while preserving [] to clear rules and populated arrays to replace them.
  • Show the required field in both block modes and regenerate metadata and docs with read-first, full-replacement guidance.
  • Add request-boundary regressions for absent rules, explicit clearing, and retaining multiple rules. Cloudflare permits omission; this is a deliberate Sim safeguard for replacement intent.

Type of Change

  • Bug fix

Testing

Local: bun run lint, root bun run type-check, all 60 check:audits, block-registry checks against origin/staging, and git diff --check passed. Tests run in CI only. Pre-fix CI reproduced exactly the three missing-rules failures; explicit clearing and rule retention passed. Both full unit-test shards passed on the final head in CI, including all 10 Cloudflare request-boundary cases. Remaining build, integration, and E2E gates are reported in this PR’s checks.

[Medium impact] This PR appears safe to merge; no actionable issues were found.

Summary

Requires explicit rules before replacing an R2 bucket’s lifecycle configuration.

  • R2 lifecycle updates now require the full rules list.

waleedlatif1 explicitly describes rejecting omitted rules as an intentional Sim safeguard, including for previously saved workflows without rules.

No actionable issues found. Tests were inspected, not run. git diff --check passed.
