Description of change

Docs for singer-io/tap-mongodb#136, which upgrades the tap to PyMongo 4.18.3 for SAC-32067. PyMongo 4.18 requires MongoDB 4.4+.

  • MongoDB v3 and MongoDB Atlas v3: supported versions 3.6 through 7.0 -> 4.4 through 7.0, driver PyMongo 4.4.0 -> 4.18.3. The driver field was already stale: the tap has pinned 4.10.1 since tap-mongodb#121.
  • New deprecation changelog entry. It links tap-mongodb#136, so the weekly changelog automation won't add a duplicate.

The upper bound stays at 7.0, because tap CI only covers 4.4/5.0/6.0.

Before merging

  • Merge only after tap-mongodb 3.4.0 is deployed.
  • Set the changelog date and filename to the deploy date. Both are currently 2026-10-07 as placeholders.
