Summary

  • Adds docs/assets/wordmark.svg and docs/assets/wordmark-dark.svg. Each shows "layeris" in DM Mono Regular (400), traced to vector outlines. The settings match the docs site's .wordmark heading: 46px font size and -0.03em letter-spacing. The glyphs come from the same DM Mono file that Google Fonts serves to the site.
  • The two files differ only in fill color. They use the site's light and dark --ink colors, #1a1b1e and #e7e7e4.
  • In the README, the # Layer.is heading is now an <h1> that holds a <picture>. On GitHub it shows the dark file in dark mode and the light file otherwise. The alt text is layeris.

Verification

  • HarfBuzz shaping of "layeris" applies no ligatures, substitutions or kerning, so placing each glyph by its advance width plus the letter-spacing gives the same result as the browser's text layout.
  • In Chromium, the outlined SVG was compared with live <text> set in the same font with the same letter-spacing, at about 8.7× scale. No pixel differed by more than 60/255, so the only differences are anti-aliasing at the glyph edges.
  • In a local render of the README header, the <picture> element picked wordmark.svg in light mode and wordmark-dark.svg in dark mode.

Like the logo, the README loads the images from raw.githubusercontent.com/.../main/... so they also show on PyPI. Because of that, they will only appear once this PR is merged.

Add docs/assets/wordmark.svg and wordmark-dark.svg: "layeris" set in
DM Mono Regular (400) at 46px with -0.03em letter-spacing, matching the
docs site's .wordmark, with the glyphs converted to outlines. The two
files differ only in fill (the site's light and dark --ink colors).

The README title now shows the wordmark through a <picture> element so
GitHub picks the dark variant in dark mode.
